Het is rustperiode, helaas. Dat wil zeggen dat het laatste concert dat ik van Anton & The Nephews gezien heb Plazey was, eind juni. Ondertussen zijn we midden augustus, en het eerst volgende concert in mijn agenda is de tour in januari. Januari 2009 wel te verstaan. Dat is toch niet te geloven?

Hoe moet ik die tijd gaan overbruggen zonder live? Ik weet niet hoe het met jullie zit, maar ik vind het alvast verslavend. Een keertje per maand zou voor mij echt idealer zijn dan een keer of drie (met een beetje geluk) per jaar. Doe er dan nog bij dat ze op Plazey geweldig waren, dat helpt ook niet echt. Het aftellen is begonnen, en gaat nog heeeeeeeeeel lang duren.

Misschien zijn er onder jullie gelukzakken die dit weekend naar Eeklo gaan kijken? of mensen die in Oostende waren vorige week? Of mensen met plannen voor Moulin Rouge festival..: geniet er maar met volle teugen van, januari is nog lang…

All is quiet, unfortunately. I mean by that the last concert of Anton & The Nephews I saw was Plazey at the end of June. It is now August and the next concert I’ve got planned is for January. January 2009, indeed. Isn’t that unbelievable?

How am I supposed to pass all that time without seeing them live? I don’t know about you guys, but for me, their concerts are very very addictive. I would love to be able to see them once a month instead of two or three times a year (if I’m lucky). And last time, at Plazey, they were really really good, which makes the wait even harder. I’m counting the days, but there are still very very very many of them in between.

Maybe some of you are going to Eeklo (august 17th) or went to Theater aan Zee in Ostend last week? Or maybe you’re waiting for the Moulin Rouge festival (sept 6). If you did or will be doing one of these I can only say: enjoy. January is not there yet..
